Prison Break

Shouts of pain echo loudly down the corridor. We wake up dazed and bruised and also somewhat afraid from the sounds we were hearing. As soon as we wake up we find ourselves imprisoned in a badly ridden cold cell. We were two Dwarfs an Elf a T’Skrang and a Human. We immediately head for the door to try to escape, but with no luck as the door was locked by a large lock placed on the outside. It was not a sturdy door at all, easily brought down if one had to ram it, however we would do too much noise and the guards would come for us. We take a peek from one of the cracks in the door and we notice that in the corridor outside sitting in a bird cage was an unhappy female Windling.

All of a sudden we hear voices coming from the far end of the corridor. They get closer and closer still, we clearly see them through the cracks in the door an Elf and a Human. As soon as they arrive in front of our cell the human stops and waits for the elf to continue further on as soon as the elf was somewhat distant he placed a bunch of keys on some crates situated on one of the corridor sides. He opens one of the crates and takes out a small box; he opens it and with one of his fingers picks up some splendid gem stones which reflect the brazier light splendidly. As soon as he does so a shout from the elf is heard questioning were he is, the human gets a fright and leaves both the gems and the keys on the small crates and quickly goes to meet the elf.

Out of a small hole in the sealing we hear a female voice calling. She introduces herself as being Terishia and asks us if we could manage to reach the keys the guard had left just an instance ago. She also tells us that she and a bunch of other friends of her will be able to cover our escape. We try to think on what can we do to manage to get the keys but no plausible plan could be found than Terishia hands us a four foot string and asks us if this could be of any help and indeed it was with the string we manage to bring down the windling cage to where we could reach and the T’Skrang deftly did open it allowing the windling to get out take the keys and in turn open our cell as well as the other prisoners’ cell.

We quickly open the crates and arm ourselves as best we could. Ajishia the windling being the stealthiest moved up a staircase to scout ahead. She reported a guard present in the first floor. Ahmok the T’Skrang rushes up the stairs to try to take the guard by surprise but the guards’ sense are very keen and instead gets Ahmok flat footed. The guard seeing Ahmok scream out “the prisoners are escaping”, Hearing this Ahmok turns and strikes him with the short sword knocking him on the floor with the thrust. Elissar the Elf rushes up after hearing the guard scream and finishes him using his magic. We continue to head through the corridor until we met a person, who definitely was not a guard as his attire was different, who told us to head east if we are to escape. So we do and indeed the direction was the right one as it lead out of the prison. As soon as we stepped out three guards rush upon us we quickly dispatch them and look for a fast means to escape. We see some horses and run to them so as to escape and head to the nearby city.

With the gems that Ahmok smuggled from the prisons we bought some weapons and armour to equip ourselves and split the remaining evenly between the five of us. Whilst in town, we are approached by a windling named Long Fellow. We get on with some chatting and after a short while he mentions that we are the right people for a job. He says that we are to go to the Merchant type in Barter Town and talk to a guy named Omaren.

We head their and meet this Omaren. He immediately greets us into his house. We went in and Omaren make us meet two other people being an Obsidiman guard named Geheb and his dwarf mother named Tamin. He starts talking and tells us that he requires escort from a group of mercenaries to accompany him in a journey. Omaren is to travel to Urupa to buy a special gift and than had straight to Travar where he will gift this gift to the father of his fiancé in order to give him permission to marry his daughter. We accept the job and immediately prepare for the long journey to come. That same night before all five get lost in their sleep they all think about what perils are in reserve for them and how to shape their own faith.

The Journey Begins……………
